So I finished watching Fearless Freaks a little while ago. And now I'm convinced that through all the bluster and bullshit and carnival-barker bravado, Wayne Coyne is a genuine crackpot.
That said, they seem kind of oblivious to the world outside of the Flaming Lips. Maybe it's comparing apples to oranges, but since I got to listen to Lydia Lunch's point of view a good bit directly before listening to Wayne today, I have to say that he's a lot less impressive. I definitely admire his work ethic, imagination and fearlessness. He inspires devotion in people with a glut of charisma. He's got the whole "God" thing going on, but probably because it seems as though his creation is all done for the Glory of Wayne.
